Textile Hybrid Lab, founded and led by Prof. Seonyoung Youn, reimagines textiles as active material systems where fibers, yarns, and structures become sources of sensing, movement, adaptation, and interaction.

We integrate materials, textile architecture, electronics, computation, fabrication, and human-centered design to create textile-native technologies for the human body.

01 - ACTIVE & ROBOTIC TEXTILES

We develop textile systems that generate movement, force, shape change, and adaptive behavior through active materials, robotic yarns, programmable structures, and embedded control.

02 - WEARABLE SENSING & HUMAN-BODY INTERFACES

We create body-conformal textile interfaces for physiological sensing, health monitoring, and rehabilitation, with a focus on wearability, signal quality, and real-world use.
